Vintage appearance package for Optima
and Delco/Exide Batteries
The Tar Topper is a vintage appearance package for the new battery in your
classic car. The kit consists of a
custom molded, period correct, polymer replica of the original tar-top battery complete with hand-painted "fill caps". The three section side panel kit is fabricated with natural hinges at
the corners and pre-applied adhesive. Once in place, the Tar Topper is virtually indistinguishable from
an original tar-top battery.
The Tar Topper is engineered to fit top post, deep cycle, marine and Ford versions of the Optima battery lineup.
We also offer the Tar Topper D/E specifically designed for the Delco/Exide, NAPA flat top, Group 24, maintenance free battery. As the
case of these batteries is black molded plastic, the side panel kit is not required.
The Tar Topper and Tar Topper D/E are also available through
restoration catalogs and select retailers. Dealer inquiries are invited.
